Sioux Falls, SD – John Leslie Bennett passed away in his sleep on Saturday, June 6, 2015. John was born in Huron, SD, on October 30th, 1958 to John E. and Catherine H. (Walton) Bennett. He was a graduate of Huron High School and Mitchell Technical Institute. During his life time he worked in Cordu Lane, Idaho; Rapid City, South Dakota; and Sioux Falls, South Dakota.
John loved to work with intricate electrical equipment and was proud of his work for Public Broadcasting in Rapid City, South Dakota; and most recently at KTTW Fox 7 in Sioux Falls, South Dakota.
John was preceded in death by his parents, maternal and paternal grandparents, and several aunts and uncles.
He is survived by his sisters, Elda (James) Hohenthaner, Rapid City, SD; Nancy Clouser, Wolsey, SD, Mary Bennett, Huron, SD; nephew, Michael A. Clouser, nieces, Cathy (Charles) Sprecher, Crystal Hohenthaner, Tonya Hohenthaner, and Kimberlie Clouser; aunts, Marian Crippen, Jean Walton, Jesse Barton, Patty Kearney, and several cousins.

No services will be held at this time. His cremated remains will be laid to rest at a future date.
John was such a sweet guy, so very polite. I’mean so glad u had the pleasure of meeting John. Please know, John is already missed by many, and will continue to be missed. His Famy is in my Prayers.
