Dean Jarman, 73, passed on Thursday, October 20, 2016 in Sioux Falls, SD. Services will be held at a later date.
Dean Jarman was born April 25, 1943 in Sgt Bluff, Iowa to LaVern and Mary (Clark) Jarman. He graduated from Tama High School in 1962. He served in the United States Army from 1964 and was honorably discharged in 1968. He moved to Colorado in 1968 where he was employed by Gates Rubber Co., Pruina and Martin Marietta (Lockheed Martin).
Dean retired in 2000, and moved with his wife June from Colorado to a small acreage south of Arlington, SD. He loved spending time with family, music, singing, playing cribbage and his dog Ginger.
Dean is survived by his wife, June; three sons, Dan Carpenter, Brandon (Mandy) Jarman, Travis DeCoteau; three daughters, Christie Jarman, Heather (Mark) Fairchild, Stephanie (Roland) Erhardt; four brothers, Howard Jarman, Bill (LaVonda) Owen, Ron (Diane) Madden, Larry (Sandy) Madden; six sisters, Chertyl (Raphfael Del Pozo), Pat (Art) DeOliveira, Paula (Tom) Menard, Susie (Bill) Leckband, Mary Beth (Kevin) Dage, Jamie (Peter) Heijamns; 12 grandchildren, and 5 great-grandchildren. He was preceded in death by his parents; son, Dustin Jarman; brother, Bill Jarman; and sister, Malola Atwood.
