Service: Jason’s Celebration of Life will be held on December 15, 2024, at Skagit Motorsports in Burlington, Washington at 1:00 PM.

Jason Lee Omer, age 53, passed away peacefully at his home in Ferndale, Washington on October 29, 2024, after a hard fought battle with cancer.Jason was born June 11, 1971, to Leroy Allen Omer and Judith Ann Sehr in Seattle, Washington. After graduating in 1990 from Harrisburg High School in South Dakota Jason moved to Colorado and enjoyed life snowboarding and mountain biking. He co-owned a snowboard and mountain bike shop in Durango, Colorado where he met many life long friends and his future wife. Jason married Vanessa Lynn Hinsley in 2002 in Bellingham, Washington where he began a career as an electrician. He worked for a local security company and excelled as a technician. He moved into management where he thrived at leading by example and inspiring and mentoring technicians. He was known for his extraordinary ingenuity and collaboration.

Jason lived with his wife on a 5 acre mini farm with horses and their beloved dog “Juniper”. He enjoyed working in his shop, spending time outdoors exploring, camping, riding motorcycles and spending quality time with friends and family. He was passionate about living life to the fullest and “filling his cup daily”. He was a dedicated husband, hard worker and loyal friend to many.

Jason was an avid motorcyclist and racer. He has an extensive “salt family” from his many years racing at the Bonneville Salt Flats where he achieved over a dozen National Land Speed records. He was featured in a documentary film “Out of Nothing” that highlighted his talents and endeavors engineering motorcycles and racing with his friends. He was known and respected as a fierce but fair competitor.

Jason will be missed by so many as he was kind, brilliant, generous and passionate about life. He was affectionately known by many as “Omar”. Jason is survived by his parents, Judy and Lee Omer, twin brother Chad Omer and wife Vanessa Omer.
