Candice Maye Caviglia 

Candice “Candy” Maye Caviglia age 75 of Harrisburg, SD passed away peacefully at Ava’s Hospice House in Sioux Falls, SD. 

Candy was born February 17, 1949 in Sonora, CA to Harold and Berniece Peterson.  

She leaves behind a legacy of love, kindness and deep faith. Candy dedicated many years of her life serving her community as a 911 dispatcher for Stanislaus County in California.

Her calm and compassionate nature made a significant impact during emergencies and in her daily life. Her faith in Jesus was profound and guided her through all aspects of her life. Candy’s family was her greatest joy. 

She is survived by her children, John Caviglia, Michael Caviglia and his wife Jovan, Deena Ellis and her husband Hoss. Grandchildren Salina, Isaac, Trinity, Hailey, Journey, Sundance, Ashley, Bella, Dyllan, Trevor and Cash.  Great grandchildren Jaiden and Zadie. Her brother Harold and his wife Kathy. Along with many beloved family and dear friends. 

Candy was preceded in death by her parents, Harold and Berniece Peterson, daughter-in-law Sabrina and grandson Wyatt.
