Visitation: Visitation will begin 4:00pm Monday, March 5, 2012 at Anderson-Jones-Corcoran Harrisburg Funeral Chapel with family present to greet friends from 6:00-8:00pm.

Service: Funeral Services will be 11:00am Tuesday, March 6, 2012 at Harrisburg United Methodist Church.

Lawrence  “Larry” Christiansen, 72, passed away March 3, 2012 at the  Sanford Centennial Hospice Cottage.  Funeral Services will be 11:00am Tuesday, March 6, 2012 at Harrisburg United Methodist Church.  Visitation will begin 4:00pm Monday, March 5, 2012 at Anderson-Jones-Corcoran Harrisburg Funeral Chapel with family present to greet friends from 6:00-8:00pm.

        Lawrence J. “Larry” Christiansen was born September 15, 1939 in White Bear Lake, MN to Olaf and Helen (Moga) Christiansen.  He grew up and received his education in White Bear Lake, MN.  Larry entered the United States Air Force in 1956 and was honorably discharged in 1964.  He was a member of the Air National Guard and retired as a Master Sergeant in 1995.  He was employed as a Draft Designer Engineer at 3M for 31 years retiring in 1995.

          Larry was united in marriage with Lorna F. Green December 1959.  Lorna passed away in 1997.  The couple raised four daughters together.  Larry was united in marriage with Barb A. Fink June of 2001.

          Larry enjoyed a life full of friends, boating, motorcycling, model airplanes, dancing, scuba diving, traveling, golf, bowling, wood working and horses.  Larry and Barb enjoyed wintering in Yuma, Az.

          Grateful for having shared his life are his wife, Barb Christiansen, four daughters, Stephanie (Chuck) Pelowski, Patty Christiansen, Cathy (Dale  Maroschek) Schmitz, Mickey (John) Erlandson; four step-children, Rollie (Sheila Hart) Fink, Susan (Mike) Larson, Bill (Terri) Fink, Rick (Belinda) Fink; two sisters, Shirley Coty, Audrey Tiegen; two brothers, Harvey (Lois) Christiansen, Alden (Vi) Christiansen; 17 grandchildren; 13 great-grandchildren; many nieces; nephews; and in-laws.  He was preceded in death by his parents; two brothers, Don and Bob; sister, Laurie, grandson, Tony; great-grandson, Hank William.
