Patricia Jo Lamb, 62, of Sioux Falls, died on Sunday, March. 29, 2015, at the VA hospital after a long battle with COPD with her daughters at her bedside.
She is survived by daughters, Stacy Handshumaker (husband Rob) of Harrisburg, SD and Lisa Foster (husband Corey) of Chester, SD; sisters, Ronda Wolfe (husband Scott) of Sioux Falls, SD, Julie Meyer of Jasper, MN, and Mona Bassett of Pipestone, MN; brother EJ (wife Janine) of Brookings, SD; step sisters, Cindy, Jacki, Diane, Evelyn, and Glenda; and five wonderful grandchildren, Shelby (husband Brad), Warren, Alex, Kennedy, and Jacob, and Braelyn and Austin a great grandchild; late brother Joel Bassett, Jr. Services with military honors will be held at Heritage Funeral home in Sioux Falls, SD April 4th, 2015 at 10am with the burial to follow at Zion Cemetery in Colton, S.D.

Please accept my deep sympathy. Since your family seems to have been through a lot of stress for quite some time, I wanted to add my condolences. I lost my mother to respiratory disease, and I really feel for you all. I still get a lot of comfort from scriptures like John 5:28, 29 that say that there really will be a resurrection someday. I hope reading it helps you feel better, too. May your happy memories of your dear mother comfort you and bring your family closer together.
