Larry Eugene Wick

May 8, 1944 - April 28, 2018

Visitation: Visitation and a time of celebrating Larry's life will be held at Anderson Jones Corcoran Funeral Chapel in Harrisburg, SD on Wednesday, May 2, 2018. Visitation will be from 4pm to 8pm with the family present from 5pm to 7pm.

Larry Wick age 73 of Sioux Falls passed away peacefully Saturday, April 28, 2018 at the Dougherty Hospice House.

Visitation and a time of celebrating Larry’s life will be held at Anderson Jones Corcoran Funeral Chapel in Harrisburg, SD on Wednesday, May 2, 2018. Visitation will be from 4pm to 8pm with the family present from 5pm to 7pm.

Larry was born May 8, 1944 to Myron and Evelyn (Bruns) Wick of Rushmore Minnesota. Larry grew up on the family farm in Rushmore and attended school in Adrian, Minnesota.  Upon graduation Larry attended business college in Mankato, Minnesota. Larry was later drafted by the Army and served for two years stationed near Augusta, Ga.

On August 28, 1965 Larry married Judy Mitchell in Adrian, Minnesota. From this union they have two sons Scott and Steve. Larry and his family moved to Sioux Falls, SD in 1969.  While in Sioux Falls he worked for American Freight.  Shortly after American Freight closed in Sioux Falls Larry moved to the Twin cities where he worked for Yellow Freight and Quast companies and later for Hass Plumbing.  After retirement Larry moved back to Sioux Falls and became a school bus driver for the Harrisburg School District.  Larry drove bus up until his illness no longer allowed him to.

Larry enjoyed riding his motorcycle, spending time with his grandchildren, and driving bus for the Harrisburg School District and all the sporting events.

Grateful to have shared his life are His sons, Scott (Jo Beal) Wick of Sioux Falls and Steven (Susan) Wick of Sioux Falls and grandchildren Nathan, Emma, Maggie and Sadie of Sioux Falls, ex-wife Judy Wick and Special Friend Nancy Ohm, Sister Barb (Bruce Johnson) Litchfield, Minnesota, Brothers Clayton (Robin) Wick Adrian, Minnesota and Gary Wick Phoenix, Arizona and many nieces and nephews.

Larry was preceded in death by his parents.
