Deloris LaVonne Lind

Service: Funeral service will be 10:30 am Saturday, December 3, 2022 at Harrisburg United Methodist Church.  Visitation will be Friday, December 2, 2022 from 6:00-8:00pm at Harrisburg United Methodist Church.

Deloris LaVonne Lind passed away on November 27th, 2022 surrounded by her family at the age of 87. Deloris was born on February 21st, 1935 to Carl “Bud” and Kay Pierson. She graduated from Harrisburg High School with the class of 1953. She married Robert Lind on September 27th, 1958. They lived in Harrisburg and later moved to Worthing in 1974. She worked for the Farm Service Agency (ASCS office) for 32 years retiring in 1992. She made so many lifelong friends with coworkers there. They always kept in touch with Dori. Not one to sit around she then went to work at the Keystone Treatment Center in Canton for 15 years. Deloris and Bob enjoyed wintering in Texas for 19 years. She enjoyed camping and spending time with the family at the cabin at Lake Hendricks, MN. In her spare time, she loved to feed the birds and crochet. Most of all she treasured the time with her grandchildren and great grandchildren and making family memories. Grateful for sharing her life is her husband Bob of 64 years, daughter Janell Zahn of Harrisburg, and son Brian Lind of Harrisburg. Three grandchildren Aaron (Lisa) Zahn of Harrisburg, Avery (Dawn) Zahn of Sioux Falls, and Ashley (Michael) Blitsch of Harrisburg. Great grandchildren Caleb, Madeline, Stephen, Paisley, and Everly. Siblings Donna (Wayne) Johnson of Sioux Falls, and Russ Pierson of Sioux Falls, along with numerous relatives and friends. She was preceded in death by her parents and sister Carol DeWitt.

Funeral service will be 10:30 am Saturday, December 3, 2022 at Harrisburg United Methodist Church.  Visitation will be Friday, December 2, 2022 from 6:00-8:00pm at Harrisburg United Methodist Church.
