*May 15, 1967 – February 13, 2025*

Bob Aleck passed away suddenly at his home on February 13, 2025. He was born on May 15, 1967, in Sioux Falls, SD, and grew up in Harrisburg, SD, where he graduated from Harrisburg High School.

Over the years, Bob worked in various roles, including positions at Graves Drilling, The Harrisburg Furniture Barn, and McGuire Iron. He had a deep love for the outdoors and enjoyed hunting pheasants, attending dirt track races, and spending time on the river boating with his dad. Bob had a special fondness for animals, especially dogs, and cherished time spent outside in the sun. He also had enjoyed country music, which was always a part of his life. Above all, he valued time with his family and treasured every moment with his grandparents.

Bob is survived by his two sisters, Brenda (Joe) Miller and their children, Abbie, Anna, Ben, and Jake; and Becky (Chris) Howe and their children, Jonathon, Mackiya, and Kash. He also leaves behind many beloved aunts, uncles, and cousins.

Bob’s love for family, friends and the simple joys of life will be dearly missed.

Dear family, I’m sorry for your loss. Gary was our sunshine, a sun flower if you will. He was my friend and buddy.. We hung out all spring and summer. We shared laughter and sometimes tears. He made me laugh and cry at the same time. He was my pal, I will miss him so much. He was an inspiration to all. Rest in peace my friend. You will always be in my heart and Lola’s too. Fly high. Love you Linda.

I have fond memories when we were kids playing “house” in the backyard of Gary and Sharon’s house. Since Bob was the oldest he was the “dad”. I was second oldest so I was the “mom”. Then Brenda, Chad and Becky were the “kids”.
Bob sure loved to pick on his sisters, as I am sure any older brother would do. Being an only child it was certainly something I wasn’t used to seeing, but it was humorous. In fact I’ve heard the stories of how Bob’s dad (my uncle) Gary did the very same thing to his own little sisters. I can’t help but laugh about those stories.
I loved Bob and his tie-dye t-shirts. Also when he would call me out of the blue just to talk.
    I sure will miss him!
